I chanced upon this wonderful venture of ours created an year ago... it's primary objective was to showcase that we were the most creative. And voila, so many creative people have turned up here to post ever since that fateful day when the collective assholery of all sections turned what was supposed to be the showpiece event of MDI's creativity into a crass, downright farcical display of vocal chord power ending with the vainglorious of them being crowned winners.
But this piece from me isn't about those pathetic stage managed attempts of showcasing college culture like that prayer ceremony before placements, or that IPL fantasy league mail chain... This is me admitting that actually Section D has been one of the more, pardon my limited vocabulary, cooler and grown up section on campus. Despite a mediocre performance from our DCPs while class participating compared to stalwarts like Mr. Mehra from A, and RGing viz a viz certain non-engineers from other sections I have to say that we have been the quintessential tortoise to the other section's hare. Last but definitely not the least. And we haven't fared poorly academically either, despite hours of effort put in by the GP office to ruin our weekends, our quizzes as well as our exams, we have quite a few 8+ pointers in our class. And to top it all, we have Mr. Marketing himself amongst us. A quick word here for the CR of our class, who has put in his heart and soul for not one but two sections (pun intended in the most obvious way). Without him we wouldn't have had half the fun during those long drowsy presentations. We had almost started looking forward to his group.
Just to cut this long obnoxious piece short, I invite those of you without work to keep coming back here and posting your cynical comments, grouses as well as witty remarks about things past so that all of us have something to look forward to in the coming two months.
